Founded to advance excellence and access in higher education, the Association of Universities brings together leading institutions across regions and disciplines. We facilitate collaboration in research and teaching, develop shared standards, and amplify the sector’s voice on global policy.

Our work focuses on mobility and exchange, open science and data, digital transformation, inclusion and equity, and university governance. Members benefit from joint programs, research consortia, benchmarking, and capacity-building opportunities.

Governed by a council of university leaders and advised by expert committees, we operate as a non-profit, non-partisan organization funded by member contributions and grants.
